How We Serve Our Clients

Home-Based Services:  ABA Therapy

At KISS ABA we help families receive the services in Applied Behavior Analysis  (ABA) to increase their socially significant behaviors and decrease their maladaptive behaviors. Home-based ABA Therapy allows clients the opportunity to learn the skills that they are able to use in their natural environment ― HOME. The client’s home is the location that the behaviors will most likely occur. For example, home based therapy can help elicit behaviors in the area of bedtime, toileting, eating, cleaning up, cooking, and dressing.

When deciding the location of the ABA therapy sessions, it is best to consider where your child may be most comfortable, at home or another location. With time, the child will learn to engage in the wanted behaviors which should be generalized to other settings. Another benefit to having ABA therapy in the home is that it makes it convenient for the parents and their availability to get to locations other than home.

As we proceed with ABA services in the home, we structure the program individually for the client. With that, we set up an environment that elicits the independence that the client can attain. We focus the client’s programs on their ability level and emphasize a focus on communication, independent play skills, individualized skill acquisition programs, problem behavior reduction plans, and functional daily living skills. The long-term goal for each client is to enable them to generalize their skills to the home, school, and community and be able to fully participate in family, school, and community activities to the best of their abilities.

ABA Therapy at Our Clinic

Here our clients benefit from the direct service atmosphere (similar to the home-based therapy) with the additional opportunity for social interaction while learning needed social skills. Your child will enjoy an engaging and fun-filled day of learning while maximizing one-on-one therapy from a behavior therapy technician.

KISS ABA's specialized and individualized programming harmoniously blends the clinic environment with ABA principles to meet each patient's unique needs. Moreover, this space offers our patients the opportunity to build a multitude of skills in a social setting during both Focused ABA Treatment and Comprehensive ABA Treatment.

Additionally, our clinic setting affords us the opportunity to build and enhance the skills our patients need when entering the school setting, including:
  • Interaction with peers in small and large groups
  • Routines within an unfamiliar environment
  • Transitioning across activities and settings
  • Working with others
Speech & Feeding Therapy at Our Clinic

These services are provided at our clinic to all individuals who would benefit from Speech and/or Feeding Therapy, not only those receiving ABA therapy.

Combining Speech-Feeding & ABA therapy can be very beneficial in rounding out the care plan for many patients. Doing so at our clinic enables our cross-trained professionals to collaborate during your child's treatment for improved communication and consistency and better overall satisfaction.

Telehealth:  ABA Therapy

At KISS ABA, we work with families to support their needs. We have used teletherapy to include working parents as part of the ABA program and to support the clients if their schedules are more conflicting. KISS ABA is using telehealth therapy as a way to include populations that are medically underserved. We provide assessment, treatment plan development, direct and indirect supervision, parent and caregiver training, discharge planning, and direct treatment when possible.

When using telehealth for ABA services, we are helping to reduce costs and improve the quality and participation of caregivers. We are here to reach the population of individuals who are in a less populated setting and do not have the medical support needed.
